According to the Mirror today, Charlie Condou, who plays Marcus Dent on Coronation Street has secured an improved two-year deal to stay on ths soap.

Corrie Sauce told the Mirror: “Charlie is delighted. He spoke to producers who told him they have big plans for his character, and Marcus will be at the heart of some explosive storylines.”

Great news. I love Marcus Dent.

  1. Good news but shame about the explosive story lines.

  3. If Antony behaves the way Sean behaves on-screen, I can certainly understand if Charlie didn't have the patience to deal with him.

Male or female - drama queens are realllly draining.

Isn't that just Soap Speak for more of the same boring crap we've been feeding you for years.
Shame they don't look at the early years of the Street and get back on track instead of the implausible storylines Collinson has dumped on us.

  7. Corrie Sauce? It made me laugh. Was that deliberate and will be hearing more from our friend Mr/Ms Sauce?

  8. Having read the next blog, Corrie Sauce is deliberate. Corrie sounds like a girl's name to me, so I think it's Ms Sauce.
