Corrie fans vote for Sean and Marcus to get wed

In the latest of our polls here on the Coronation Street Blog we asked Corrie fans the question: Which Corrie couple should wed?

A whopping 431 votes were cast with the results coming in as follows:

Sean and Marcus at 38%
Julie and Brian at 26%
Norris and Mary at 20%
Steve and Tracy at 14%

    So was this Sean and Marcus wedding idea already written and planned (and maybe acted and already filmed)well before we were asked to vote? If so, why ask us to vote?
