Don't forget that the second episode of The Corrie Years is on TV tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1. Tonight's programme concentrates on "first" and how Corrie has consistently broken new ground in TV drama.
The programme looks at the first live episode for nearly 40 years, the first specially written hour-long episode and the Street’s first (and only) transsexual character, Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh).
I wish they would just show clips, and one after the other from old Corrie episodes, WITHOUT any in - between talking from anyone which spoils it for me. They could maybe start and finish with ONE cast member introducing and ending the episode, and even talking just before the break to say ' Don't go away etc', but in - between, I think it would be great just to see different clips from different episodes, showing one after the other. We don't really need all this dribble - drable talk during these old clips.
ReplyDeleteI quite enjoy the interviews, getting behind the scenes stuff. I find it really interesting. There have been lots of specials that have mainly been clips in the past. This is not meant to be that sort of thing, mainly the clips illustrate the point of the "firsts" or the other stories they're telling about Coronation Street
ReplyDeleteI used to love it when Granada + (Granada Plus) used to be on Sky, and it showed all the old Percy Sugden etc episodes Ahhhh.... those were the days! (and better filming!).
ReplyDeleteOh I agree! Why cant we see the old episodes anymore. Late at night? Dying to see Enas final episode- Micky
ReplyDeleteOops missed it!
ReplyDeleteWhat is Hayley saying while using her hands in the photo? I think she is talking to the cameraman and sayting . . . 'If you don't start keeping the camera still, then I won't make you any TEA'.
