Those of you in the Manchester area or can get there for the weekend after Corrie's 50th anniversary might want to check this out. A Manchester city centre pub, Lass O'Gowrie (36 Charles St., Manchester...I've been there, nice pub!), is holding a "Corriefest" for charity. On December 12, all day (10 a.m. to 11 p.m.), the pub will be hosting various events. You need tickets, they will cost you £9.95 and they are available here. There is a Facebook event where you can keep up with guests and events as they are booked and their website will be updated regularly as well.
They are donating all ticket revenue to local charities, including, to date, The Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at Christie Hospital and the Lesbian and Gay Foundation.
Apparently, as of now, Producer Phil Collinson, Director Graeme Harper and casting director June West plan to attend and there should be an afternoon Q&A session according to the Facebook site. It also seems like there will be performances of Deirdre Barlow and Me through the weekend but that's an extra ticket cost of £5. Performances take place on Dec. 11 and on the 12th after the Corriefest ends.
