10 reasons why Gail McIntyre should be jailed

Is Gail guilty? Will she go to jail? Would Coronation Street get rid of an actress who's been with them more than 30 years? I mean, you know, was there ever any doubt?

Anyway, here's why she SHOULD be locked up!

1. For crimes against haircuts over the years
2. For being daft enough to marry the wrong man, over and over and over again.
3. For marrying Brian Tilsley – twice
4. For fighting Eileen Grimshaw in the street, in a very bad dressing gown
5. For letting son David Platt push her around - and down the stairs
6. For bringing David Platt into the world
7. For not having the nerve to ever stand up to her evil mum-in-law Ivy Tilsley
8. Because her golden sons, the Plattilsley boys, can never do anything wrong
9. For being totally thick where men are concerned
10. All of the above

And 2 reasons why she has to go free to roam Coronation Street again:

1. She’s innocent
2. She's Gail... and she’s great

  1. I think she did stand up to Ivy a lot, that's one of the reasons Ivy didn't like her aside from marrying her Brian of course and nobody would have been good enough! I recall Gail often in shouting matches with Ivy when Ivy overstepped the mark and Don having to make Ivy apologize lest she never see her grandchildren again! Gail certainly didn't back down from seeing Martin when Ivy objected.

I love Gail! I know she's stubborn and she will believe her children can do no wrong even after all that David has done. She doesn't always trust David but still thinks he's a good boy down deep, (and his recent support proves it to her!).

  2. I found Gail more interesting in jail...couldn't we just keep her there? At least then she won't be involved with anymore inappropriate men.

  3. Well now, how boring would that be, having Gail involved with only 'appropriate' men!
In fact, it would then probably be one man, straight and narrow and they'd live happily ever after!
Her only excitement latterly would be David.
Shhhh....(I like Gail too), although it seems I'm one of the minority, and for those who can't abide her, well, she's been getting enough grief I'd have thought, to appease you! :)

    You missed off FOR WHISPERING.

I agree she should have stayed in jail, she is already irritating again on her release. I know she is a long standing actress but i wouldnt be sorry to see her go, too one dimensional for me. Where to now, yet another failed romance??
