Corrie wins Best Soap at TV Now Awards 2010

Coronation Street won three awards in last night's TV Now Awards 2010, held in Dublin.

They won Best Soap, beating all the others - and about time too!

Bill Roache picked up the Soap Legend award for his 50 years in Weatherfield as Ken Barlow.

And Katherine Kelly (Becky McDonald) won Favourite Female Soap Star.

Up the Corrie! There's pics from the red carpet here.

You can still vote for Corrie in the TV Choice awards and the Oggies 2010.

  1. Too many awards shows, don't you think? Stretches credibility... maybe I'm too cynical but it's all so self-promoting and self-congratulatory now...

  3. Yes, there are too many award shows and the worst part is you can only vote for who they let you.

How many awards has Becky won now? Sorry, but I think she is incredibly overrated.

  4. TV (and actors) award themselves too many awards. There must be some other way they could show off their new frocks or thweir huge egos.
And someone please feed that woman a pie!

  5. Agree about far too many awards, makes them a bit pointless and watered down.

Looks like Michelle Heaton is wearing another of Jordan's cast offs. Meow :-)

    Love Katherine Kelly's haircut.
