Rob James-Collier joins Calendar Girls

News on Rob James-Collier has been a little scarce since he left Coronation Street as Liam Connor. Yours truly spotted him at The Specials gig at Brixton earlier this year but he's otherwise kept a low profile.

Well, now he's back with a bang as he takes to the stage in London's West End in Calendar Girls alongside Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch) who'll be taking off her clothes. Oo-er missus. Find out more here.

  1. His character on Corrie--good-looking, dashing, fabulous/tragic weakness for Carla -- should have had lift-off. But it just felt like the Corrie writers didn't quite nail his character so that we cared 100%. For me, it's the women of Corrie who are interesting to watch -- the men are mostly slightly 'flat'....
(sorry, new fan of the Cobbles and just my opinion)

  5. Going to Press Night tonight, but 'our Liam' Rob James Collier is no longer in the cast list.

Not sure why ... perhaps he caught sight of Ms. Goodyear's baps ?

  6. just spoke to 'Arabella' in press office of Peter Thompson PR for Calendar Girls. She says Rob James-Collier has got a new TV role and pulled out of the show last week, so they had to scrabble around a bit and find a guy who'd already played the part at Chichester or somewhere (she wasn't sure).

She said they (in the PR team) tend to concentrate on the ladies in the cast - but when I pointed out that a lot of ladies in the audience (and a few men) might want to concentrate on Our Liam from Corrie, she agreed!

I've sent Rob a note on facebook to ask him for more details!
