Another new character arrives in Coronation Street on Easter Sunday (April 12) when Reverend Rick Peach turns up.
The Sun says that the new vicar will be a trendy piece of work, touchy-feely with lots of modern ideas. Ooh, I can't see Blanche enjoying that very much but Sophie Webster decides to get baptised. A Corrie insider told the paper: “We’ve decided to go back to basics and to the days when the local vicar was very much a part of daily life. But viewers may find there’s a darker side to Rev Rick.” I hope Rev Rick gets a story on the the Red Rec.
Reverend Rick Peach will be played by theatre actor Nick Caldecott. It's not the first time he's acted in a dog collar...
It's nice that they bring religion to the soaps, and not in a mad way. Does Emily have a say in this, as she's the only known church goer. Blanche never came to mind as a church goer
ReplyDeleteIs he any relation to Belinda Peach? (I can't remember exactly who she was and what she did, but she was played by the brilliant Maxine Peake).
ReplyDeleteBelinda Peach? Really? I wonder...
ReplyDeleteTouchy-feely and vicar in the same sentence? Not liking that a whole lot! :P
ReplyDeleteI know, touchy-feely and vicar = a bit creepy!
