Coronation Street Experience open Rovers Return to fans for first time ever

It’s a Summer like no other at the Coronation Street Experience as the team announce they are opening the doors to one of the most famous television studios in the world, the iconic Studio 1, home of the Rovers Return!

As Manchester shines on the world stage, what better point to release a limited number of tickets to give guests the chance to add on to their ‘street tour’ a unique peek beyond the cobbles, as they step into Studio 1 and behind the bar of the ‘real’ Rovers Return set.  And they won’t just have a look, every lucky ticketholder will get the chance to walk into the iconic bar, on their own or with their friends, and pose for an official photo.  Surely the photo op of a lifetime for any Corrie fan - although we’re not sure what Annie Walker would think!?

Not only is the Rovers studio home to some of the biggest moments in British television, it’s also been visited by royalty, pop stars, sport stars, movie stars and even a PM or two, but now it’s everybody’s turn.

Lou Black, SVP Brand Licensing, ITV Studios said:   “Although we know the cobbles are the star of the show, our tour operators, Continuum Attractions, are often asked for a look inside a real studio. So we thought what better set to show off than the Queen of the Street, the Rovers Return, it’s the absolute pinnacle for any soap fan to be able to stand behind our legendary bar.

With all the complexities of filming schedules and studio access, it’s fantastic to get to the point where we are able to  welcome a limited number of  guests into a working studio, and we can’t wait to open up so they can experience walking through those famous doors.”.

The extra special limited numbers tours will be held on Saturdays through August and early September.
