Coronation Street Episode Monday 29th December

Carla's situation gets more desperate in terrifying Coronation Street spoiler video Picture: ITV METROGRAB

Becky doesn't know who she's dealing with. Carla is a veteran kidnap victim (the latest was less than 12 months ago) and we know that she'll find a way out of that cupboard. Rhubarb Hill isn't the luxury resort we were led to believe although Becky has a partner in crime to help her out, answering the phone to Kit and pretending that Carla is still there, whilst in reality, Carla uses a broken piece of crockery to cut her binds and attack Becky, knocking her out. Yay!

In the pub, Will is being blackmailed by his gran, trying to manipulate Ben into suspecting Eva of infidelity, in return for helping cover up the attack on Daniel. I'm trying to remember if either of my grandmas ever tried to blackmail me. Bribery with Smarties maybe.

Evelyn chats to Roy in the cafe in Corrie

Dame Maureen is channelling both of my grandmas as she takes tupperware to the Bistro for G&G's joint birthday. Poor Glenda, no wonder she's always attention-seeking, what with having a twixtmas birthday. At the party, Todd gives George a poster of The Weatherfield Gazette from the day he was born, featuring Ken Barlow's brother playing for Weathy County. Ah, but he was no Tommy O, was he. Theo takes umbrage at the notion that Todd used to fancy Nicky T and the fact that both had different heads back then means nothing to him. He drags Todd off, without a coat. It's parky out! They drive to a bakery and then Theo leaves him in the street. This is sooooo old now.

And Abi has finally realised that Carl is a love-rat, and she cries on Tracy's shoulder.

See you next week for Corridale. I haven't watched Emmerdale since Zoe the lesbian vet was in it, so will probably have no idea what's the heckaslike is going on.
