Coronation Street Blog: Eva's return to Coronation Street

Coronation Street has released a first look trailer of the Driscoll family’s arrival on the cobbles.

Eva Price, played by Catherine Tyldesley makes her long awaited return to Weatherfield on October 27th with her new family.

Eva’s husband Ben Driscoll played by Aaron McCusker are the first to arrive on the street when he surprises her by revealing he has bought the Rovers Return and tells her she is the new landlady.

As the trailer shows they waste no time in settling into the pub and welcoming all the regulars with a huge opening party but the arrival of Ben’s mum Maggie, Pauline McLynn brings some shocking news for Eva.

The sale of the Rovers puts Eva back behind the bar of the nation’s favourite pub for the first time since 2018.

She will be reunited with her sisters Leanne and Toyah, as well as catching up with her old friends and neighbours. But what has she been up to since she left Weatherfield and how will this new clan fit into the drama on the Street?

Also joining the cast will be Eva’s daughter Susie (Aurora Bradshaw) and Ben’s two sons Will (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike). Ollie is known to Corrie fans as he has been dating Dee Dee for a couple of months but hasn’t told her about his family’s plans to move to the street.

It is safe to say the Price/Driscoll family will be arriving with a bang and a suitcase full of secrets.

Coronation Street is on ITV and STV at 8pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and ITVX and STV Player at 7am
