Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley in Coronation Street, is leaving the show.
She said: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.”

ReplyDeleteThis is actually quite shocking news. I thought we had a lot of Daisy storylines coming up and she was set to become a regular character. She's also a bit of candy, so was this her decision or was she axed?

ReplyDeleteBlimey, what's going on tonight? Everyone's leaving the Street, there'll be no one left at this rate! There's quite a few characters that need culling, but Daisy wasn't one of them.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she was "culled". I think it was her choice, as in the article it says she informed bosses of this decision a year ago
DeleteAgain...so much potential lost. Daisy is an intelligent, beautiful woman who could have carried so many storylines.
ReplyDeleteAnother cast member who is moving on. This culling is appears to be haphazard, getting rid of beloved characters and keeping ones that no one cares about. What about the storylines? Might want to cull a few writers, the storylines have been absolutely dreadfull lately.
