Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 2nd December

A worried Leanne Battersby on the stand in court, wearing a black jacket and pink outfit

I'm liking Leanne's new attitude to revenge. Instead of her normal stomping around and shouting approach, she's moved back into Victoria Court in order to mess with Nick and Toyah's relationship, show Nick how good she is with Sam, emotionally manipulate her ex, and stop him going to see Toyah at the hotel. She then goes for the jugular and snogs his face off, later telling her sis that it's just like old times. It's quite funny watching Nick prevaricate and try to get away from Leanne's somewhat aggressive ardent expressions of love. This all leads to Nick and Toyah arguing (and Nick telling a door he loves it) and Leanne also steals her sister's passport in order to do something shady with a bank account. It's very cunning and I love it.

Also! It's Rowan's day in court as Leanne, Nick and Amy give their evidence and Rowan is found guilty.

Along with Les's death, Chesney is dealing with the mystery white van man (or ven men, perhaps) who has slashed his tyres. I presume this story is that with Gemma away, Chesney is under a lot of pressure, and it'll culminate in him attacking the white van man? If not, I'm not sure what the point of it is? Talking of Les, surely it would be respecting Battersby Snr's memory to try and get some compo from his workplace? Corporate manslaughter, no?

Kit is the only person in Weatherfield tall enough to put the angel on top of the tree at the Rovers and he flirts shamelessly with Daisy as he does so. They go on a date, but Daisy loses some of her attraction to PC Green as he is unsympathetic towards Max, specifically about Lauren being in prison on her birthday.

Talking of dates, Adam and Alya go for coffee and he tells her how much he likes her. I was told off in the comments on  a previous blog for calling Alya a "hot babe" and at the risk of further complaints, she's looking very attractive - motherhood obviously suits her! She's still nosy and interfering though, she picks up Adam's phone when it beeps and sees it's a notification from a dating site. The cad! Adam points out he hasn't used the app since August and he then deletes it.

Shona has a meeting with the prison governor and finds out that visiting orders to see Clayton were sent by post as well as email and also that a mystery person visited him shortly before his suicide attempt. Shona is not so green as cabbage looking and she accuses David of being that person, which he denies (obvs).
