What did poor Fiz think when she bumped into Alina?
Poor Fiz. That was actually in a stage direction for a scene I filmed yesterday: ‘poor Fiz looks on’. Bumping into Alina was bad enough – she only goes out for wine. Then seeing her screen saver with the picture of Dorin on was like a jolt in her stomach of - oh my gosh, could that possibly be who I think it might be.
Did she feel she had to tell Tyrone?
Fiz did the right thing by telling Tyrone but when it’s confirmed that the baby is his she feels like her life has been turned upside down all over again. What does this mean for them as a family? It changes everything, there is a child who Tyrone will want to be involved with and therefore Alina is back in their lives for good too.
How is she feeling?
The worst thing for her is that it’s brought all those emotions she thought they’d buried back again. Fiz’s relationship with Tyrone was back on track – everything was normal, yes there was chaos, Hope was possibly kicking off at any moment, but they had normal family life, and she was loving it. They are finally all together under one roof as a family after Fiz working away, then all of a sudden this is thrown into the mix, no one wants to have a constant reminder of a partner's infidelity.
Is she worried she could lose Tyrone to Alina again?
She questions whether she’s enough for Tyrone and whether their family is enough for him, or whether he’ll want something else now he has a son. Having Alina around just brings back all the stuff they were never going to talk about. It happened - he had an affair, but Alina had gone and they’d vowed never to talk about it again. Bringing back those memories is the worst thing.
How does she react when she discovers he has already lied to her about the money he paid to Adam?
She is furious, all she wants is for him to be honest with her, he must know how she is feeling. And then to cap it all he says he wants Alina and Dorin to move to Weatherfield, she doesn’t know what to think.
Does she believe he could stray again?
She has a scene where Cassie says: ‘oh Tyrone loves you.’ Fiz says the words - I know he does and I know he wouldn’t do that to me again. But there’s probably something in her which thinks: ‘Could he? Would he?’. It is bringing back all the feelings of inadequacy and betrayal that she had when the affair happened, when Alina was not in the picture she had managed to move on and believe Tyrone would be loyal but you can’t blame her for worrying now there is a child bringing Alina and Tyrone potentially closer.
Can we just get rid of Alina for good like Molly and Katie. She is the most annoying character. Let Fiz and Tyrone raise the baby.
