Michael isn't the only one who was wrong about Ed,Craig also assumed that Ed was guilty as well despite lack of evidence and he too owes Ed an apology after harassing him.
ReplyDeleteBethany a journalist? Completely unrealistic, my son went to collage for 3 years for a diploma in journalism. I have the feeling she is unemployed and that's why she's turned up back home. These days seasoned journalists are losing their jobs. Where will she get a job - the factory or the Rovers.
ReplyDeleteNo offense whatsoever to the actress I don't understand why her character was brought back.
I am so angry with Sarah Lou! Damon over Adam...ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? As for her daughter, I have no time for Bethany...The actresses are great, but right now their characters just make my skin crawl...X
ReplyDeleteI think Bethany is supposed to be a freelance features writer, not a journalist as such.
ReplyDeleteShe was re - introduced at New Year for a love interest for Daniel.
Bobby too, seems a bit of a pointless character, although the Corrie team had said his story will become dark in the future.
I suppose they brought back some old faces as Stephen, Peter and Ryan went.
The actress who plays Eileen is away doing other things and the actor who plays Ty has had a leg injury, so he'll be off screen for a while.
But clearly, they've written Aggie Bailey out.
It seems to me that the actress wanted to leave, so they invented a sick auntie for Aggie until she could leave the soap properly.
There was no big shock exit plot for her announced anywhere (she wasn't killed off) so I guess this wasn't planned.
Hard to take Corrie all that seriously at the moment. With the level of crime amongst his neighbours, Craig would have asked to be moved to another area. Of course, we wouldn't then have got the stupid Beth (no wonder the actress is leaving) fawning over her police officer son in those toe-curling scenes. Tracy and Tommy can't keep their hands off each other. Well, I don't think so -zero chemistry. A stupid storyline written simply for comedic value with the four goons. It wasn't funny, and neither is Bobby. It's a soap not a sitcom and you are supposed to invest in the characters. Very few characters left on the street whom I care about: Jenny, Evelyn, Roy and that's about it.
ReplyDeleteThe whole Bethany story is rubbish. Didn't initially go to London on a brief work experience placement? Yet miraculously, with no qualifications not even A-levels, gets a full-time job and an article published in the national press? And well done, blabbermouth Beth, re the catfishing! Was that even public knowledge? Nor was it catfishing in the normal sense of grooming or financial gain. Daisy was trying to help Ryan.
ReplyDelete"Goons" is the perfect word. Their behaviour it too over-the-top to be funny, though I did like Tommy's facial expressions. No need for the affair. I enjoyed their banter: why not leave it at that? Steve and Tracy have really grown on me as a comedy couple like Jack and Vera, great parents to Amy.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Bethany, her sickly sweet voice and horrid bright red lipstick are just cringy. She’s only there to be a fly in the ointment for Daisy and Daniel. Whom I firmly believe will reunite.
ReplyDeleteI’m in Canada, been seeing the scenes between Paul and Billy about ending his life…no show has made me shed tears like that in a long time. Great acting there.
