Evelyn tries to offload the stolen dog (that Hope and Ruby have named Taylor) onto Roy but he is worried about the effect it will have on Freddy. Tyrone doesn't want her in the house as she's chewed his slippers (Taylor, not Evelyn) and so it's to the dog pound with Taylor. As an aside, would a violent man like Terry have a cockapoo? I think an XL Bully would be more his style. He sees Cassie walking Taylor and then finds Evelyn starting her shift at Dev's and tries to force her to tell him where the dog is. You can' t assault Dame Maureen Lipman, Terry! She's a national treasure! She escapes from him and runs to the shop's locked door, where Dev and Gary are trying to get in, and he disappears out the back but she passes him off as a thief rather than admit to the dognapping.
Ty, having a shocker of a day after being hit by Terry and then having to lie to the police about it, is finally learning some parenting skills in Fiz's absence and does a deal with his eldest - Hope can get a nose ring if a) she takes out the nose stud now and b) is nice to everyone for 6 months. Define nice, Tyrone.
Enough of the Dobbs-Plummers. Onto the perennial love triangle. Daniels' plan was to get Ryan to move away so that Daisy would forget him, but it's had the opposite effect as the thought of him going rekindles her feelings for him and she's making cow eyes at him in the caff. "Don't you get whiplash with all the 180s you do", asks Ryan, not unreasonably. Daniel has other plans to get Daisy to stay with him 4eva, she can adopt Bertie and he can buy the Rovers for her. Ok then. BTW, I'm find it a bit difficult to believe that the hospitality sector, short on staff especially at this time of the year, would not have a job for Daisy, but then again, maybe she started talking about her socials at the interview and that put them off.
Meanwhile, Boring Stu carries on with the boring investigations into boring Poundshop John Simm. The PI has found out that he was caught drink driving in Germany with his (other) daughter in the car and she also reckons he is planning to move back to Germany to be with this other family. Oh please let this be true and take Eliza with him.
In financial planning news, Stephen apparently hid all of his money in shell companies that can't be tracked down. We never saw him do this did we? It was a basic invoice scam that Kirk could have possibly done, set up a fake company and divert funds from the factory into its bank account. Anyway, the police have returned his effects and Jenny has his laptop and Audrey his filofax-diary so I expect these'll come into play very soon.

If he’s running a puppy farm, rather than abusing his own dog, the Cockapoo would make perfect sense as they are highly sought after and a prime target for dog thieves. As the owner of two Cockapoos, it’s a constant risk but makes for a lucrative business model for the unscrupulous.
