Nathan Graham quits Coronation Street role as James Bailey

There's a Coronation Street exit for James Bailey as Nathan Graham quits soap, reports Digital Spy and they say his final scenes are set to air next month.

ITV declined to comment on the star's decision to leave the show.

This shock news comes after Channique Sterling-Brown was cast as James's troublesome sister Dee-Dee. Read all about Dee-Dee here.

  1. Perhaps if they'd given him a storyline, a character or a personality he might have stayed. The writers clearly had no idea what to do with him. Poor Nathan, he deserved better and I wish him well for the future

  2. I also wish Nathan well for the future as he did deserve better.
Unfortunately, due to the writers' obsession with the Platts,[hence Stephen's return]other characters do not get a fair chance with storylines as the Platts seem to dominate episodes.

  3. That guy just seemed to do nothing and does not matter what story line he got his dads voice just grates on me. Would have been far better if he was a standalone character

  4. What a waste of what could have been a really good character. Seems they only gave him a storyline to highlight an "issue". I hope Nathan gets a good role, that he deserves.

  5. I agree with others on this thread. This character has so much potential and I was looking forward to his next storyline. Shame on the writers who brought Stephen back for an appearance as a flat, no emotion character. I don't remember him being so boring in earlier days.
