MARIA GETS MORE EXPOSURE THAN SHE BARGAINED FOR A stressed Maria bites Max’s head off in the barbers as she worries about the video, while coming under fire from her neighbours over their unemptied bins. When Liam gets into a fight at school it becomes clear there’s now another viral video doing the rounds where Maria’s head has been placed on a naked woman to make it look like she’s in a porn film. Gary’s raging as a devastated Maria’s shaken by how convincing the deep-fake video is.

I can't quite see the point of this Peter / Mr Thorne story. I can see why Peter's upset, but Thorne didn't do anything wrong, there's no evidence that the operation went anything other than perfectly. I'm siding with Thorne on this one, smarmy get that he is.
ReplyDeleteThere was evidence. There was a photo and he put on social media it was the fastest he'd ever done that operation
DeleteThorne deliberately rushed the operation to win a bet, thereby risking his patient's safety, and he took a photo with the kidney and shared it on social media. Both of these things are obviously wrong and breach GMC guidelines, so even if Thorne were genuinely apologetic, Peter would be absolutely right to pursue things to ensure that Thorne isn't able to do this to anyone else.
DeleteFastest, yes - that doesn't make it dangerous or that he did a bad job.
ReplyDeleteHe shared a photo online of the liver and posted it on social media. He did it for a bet. Unethical to say the least and wrong.
DeleteGood to see stephen back amongst all the dross there is these days like shaun
