Preview of tonight's Coronation Street - Friday 20 May 2022

Friday 20th May 2022

RONNIE GETS A RISE OUT OF TIM Steve shows Tim and Dev his new doorbell camera app meanwhile, Sally and Ronnie pass by No.1. When Tim hears Ronnie telling Sally that he’s sorry her romantic getaway was such a flop, he leaps to the wrong conclusion. Tim punches Ronnie in the face, what will happen next?

DANIEL FREEZES UNDER PRESSURE Daniel tells Mrs Crawshaw that he doesn’t think he’s cut out for teaching. In the Rovers, Daniel reveals that he’s decided to jack in teaching. David reckons it’s the best news he’s heard in ages. In the flat, Daniel tells Nicky about how he doesn’t deserve to be a teacher. When Nicky suggests they could have a future together, how will Daniel react?

JACOB IS EXPOSED. Amy and Jacob worry about their broken boiler and where they’re going to get a shower. Mary realises she’s left Tracy’s order book at home so Jacob offers to pick it up for her. Eileen returns home and she's shocked to find Jacob wearing only a towel having just had a shower. As Eileen screams and threatens to call the police, how will Jacob get out of this one?

ELSEWHERE Putting their differences aside for once, Eileen and Gail place flowers by the Arena memorial bench to pay their respects and mark the 5th anniversary of so many lives lost. Meanwhile Tyrone spots Phill in Victoria Garden handing a bloke a large envelope.  Tyrone’s intrigued, aware that Phill is meant to be in Leeds.

  1. Typical Corrie storyline - How dare Daniel aspire to be a teacher! Serves him right! How dare any character aspire to anything other than working at the faktry?

If you put crabs in a bucket and leave the lid off, as soon as one crab decides to crawl out the bucket, the other crabs grab it and drag it back.

And we all know the Fiz and Phill relationship is doomed for precisely this reason. I'm amazed they've let Audrey live at Grasmere Drive this long.

  2. I chuckled at the Audrey comment. Maybe Grasmere Drive is being saved for a future conflict in her will?
You are right. There are too many of these "know your place" stories. But there are other options for someone with an Oxbridge degree (did he ever finish his Master's?) So we can only hope Daniel doesn't finish up in the pub/ café/ faktri.
