Audrey's son Stephen Reid is returning to Coronation Street

Digital Spy reports that actor Todd Boyce is returning to Coronation Street in his role as Audrey Roberts' son Stephen Reid, after 15 years away from Weatherfield.

His appearance may tie in with Audrey's latest drinking spiral, as her family start to express their concerns about her welfare.

Stephen is set to be a comfort for Audrey, and a great pillar of support. But are there ulterior motives?

  2. Perhaps Stephen takes Max back to Milan with him to straighten him out?
I do hope there isn't a dark secret though.

  4. Ugh I wish they would treat foreign characters properly - for a start!
Besides the fact he was the most boring person to appear on the street, they keep writing North American characters as tho they were raised on the street...and at no point do any of these actors says ummm no Canadian would say that.

When I visit family in Scotland I don't suddenly start using phrases I have never uttered before - I speak like a Canadian, and the writers and producers shouldn't have such a hard time understanding that.

  6. I think Corrie will end up be renamed 'The Platt Show'because it seems that members of the Platt family are in every episode regardless of the storylnes and now they're bringing back Stephen who hasn't been remembered for years?!
