Conversation Street Podcast Episode #476

On our latest podcast, we share our thoughts on the episodes of Corrie released on the ITV Hub on Monday 21st June, and set for broadcast on TV between the 21st and the 25th.

It's the week of the big trial, and Leanne is still adamant she's going to tell the truth about the hell Harvey's put her family through these past few months. Will she be able to hold her nerve in court? Meanwhile, Sean tries some suitin' and recruitin' in the name of Double Glammy, Summer gets a dire diabetes diagnosis, and Ty and Alina don't join the territorial army.

There's some happy news for Kate Spencer in the Kabin, and we round off the show with a bumper batch of listener feedback.

We've pretty much reached the halfway point of another year, and in the bonus episode of the podcast, we take a look at the first six months of 2021 on Corrie and chat about how it's all going.

With the end of 2020 marking the climax of the long-running coercive control story as well as the tragic but inevitable death of Oliver Battersby, we started the year excited to see what direction our favourite characters would go in next. A massive story for the Corrie teens was promised, which turned out to be the compelling drama of the attack on Nina and Seb, the repercussions of which promise to continue well into the second half of the year. 2021 also teased the return of a legacy character from Rita's past, and we certainly 'ad it when Sharon Bentley rocked up on the Street, looking for trouble. Meanwhile, a few of our favourite couples have been split up, Peter's been drinking in the Last Chance Saloon, and you thought Jane Danson might get a break after everything Leanne went through last year? No chance!

We finish off the episode by talking about some of our podcast highlights of the year so far, including chats with more of the cast like Tanisha Gorey and Melanie Hill, and being able to take part in a couple of Corrie press interviews on Zoom for the first time.
