We're back at Kate Oates Memorial for another round of Leanne vs The World. Leanne says she doesn't need little Nicky at the court, but Tracy persuades Nick to turn up. Unforch, Steve asks Tracy to leave and the Battersby-McDonalds find out that Wendy has backed Dr Howarth's expert opinion (or in Leanne-speak, taken her side). Dr Howarth spells it out: the kindest, most compassionate thing to do would be to turn off Oliver's life support. After this, Steve and Leanne sink some large glasses of wine and Leanne tells Steve he's the only man to ever understand her and then tries to get him into bed. Two metres, Leanne! Two metres!
I wonder if Nick and Tracy will reciprocate/retaliate? They have form, after all. Steve 'fesses up and Tracy surprisingly doesn't go ballistic, instead goes to the hospital and fakes out Leanne by pretending to be mad at her. She then sympathises with Leanne, saying that she thinks everything Leanne has done for Oliver has been brilliant.
Meanwhile chez Grimshaw, Eileen says Todd has two choices, do the hoovering or get a job. Todd decides on a third option, winding up Paul although he does manage to persuade Sarah to give him a job at Underworld when Michael and Sean go off to a pyramid scheme meeting, much to Billy's disgust. Sarah decides to take the gang out to Speed Daal for a stand up buffet and some team building. The gang is only sales and packing, not sure where all the machinists are - Bangladesh? Vietnam? Barnsley?
Michael and Sean get the "exclusive" "rights" to some LA based make up produce, or something. Is this a way of getting the Baileys more involved with other street residents or are TPTB pushing Sean and James together. That would be an...odd pairing. Of course, I'm still holding out for Todd and James. Talking of couples, George comes round to Eileen's to have make up put on him (bit more Kenneth than George) and to have a little flirt with Eileen over an episode of Vera.
Badger boy Adam is on the prowl, trying to get off with Alina, who is is a little bit circumspect. The two stories combine as Kirk organises an Underworld quiz at Speed Daal, Todd shows off, Billy gets drunk, Adam eyeballs Alina, Billy entertains the Bishop (missus) who offers him the Arch Deacon job, just before Paul returns home and does a mini-striptease in the most embarrassing drunken/religious incident since Great Boo's Up.

Getting Billy + Paul mixed up?
ReplyDeleteThat peacock sleeved tee shirt was ridiculous. I actually spit my tea when Sean flounced on to the screen in that....X
ReplyDeleteI definitely thought there would be something written about Sean's shirt! Maybe an upcoming feature story?
ReplyDeleteThe Peacock T-Shirt! It needs a storyline unto itself! Certainly wouldn't be more ridiculous than Grace latching onto Michael with another (same) lie. At least it would be funnier.
