TODD MAKES HIS PRESENCE FELT Despite Eileen’s warning that a lot of folk won’t be pleased to see him back, Todd heads out with a spring in his step. Billy meanwhile confides in Paul that he’s getting cold feet about the archdeacon position. Paul worries he’s changed his mind because Todd is back on the scene. Todd takes great delight in winding Paul up. Billy implores Todd to stop causing trouble but when Todd admits he still has feelings for him how will Billy react?

NICK FEELS LEANNE’S WRATH A besotted Gail helps Sam set up his fundraising stall in Victoria Garden. But when she warns Natasha to keep her hands off Nick, Natasha’s fuming. Wendy introduces herself to Leanne and explains that she’s been elected as Oliver’s Guardian. Leanne’s hostile and accuses Wendy of siding with the doctors. Embarrassed Nick apologises for her tone but Leanne rounds on Nick, furious that he should apologise for her.

DAVID’S IN TROUBLE David finds Hugo taking pictures of the barber’s, threatening to put him out of business. Overhearing, Gary’s ears prick up.

ELSEWHERE As Gemma gets ready to leave for work, Bernie’s pleased to see her so upbeat.

WEDNESDAY 21ST OCTOBER

TODD GIVES BILLY A HEADACHE Todd reminds Billy how good they were together and suggests he doesn’t really want to be with Paul. Billy refuses to be swayed, but as he heads out, his eyes fill with tears. Todd offers Paul a hollow apology but when he intimates Billy’s told him what a tough time he’s had Paul’s furious. Billy assures him he hasn’t said a word about Kel. How will Todd react to being turned down and is Billy as sure as he says he is?

GARY STARTS RAY’S DIRTY WORK David tells Gary how he’s had an offer on the house from Ray’s property mate which would sort his financial problems, but he doesn’t want to uproot Shona and the kids. Gary reckons he should take the money but see if he can rent the house back from her. When Ray reveals he plans to turf David out of the house Gary has a pang of guilt. Shona assures David she’s not bothered if he sells the house so long as she’s with him.

THE TRUTH HURTS LEANNE Suki, a journalist friend of Natasha’s, tells Nick and Leanne she’d like to help by telling their story in a bid to boost fundraising. Leanne talks candidly about Oliver’s condition but when Suki mentions his impending death, Leanne loses it.

ELSEWHERE Natasha assures Gail that she has no designs on Nick, only sympathy for his awful situation. Gail’s appeased.
