Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 27th April

Yasmeen is off to the doctors and Geoff says he'll fill in at Speed Daal as he is her Knight In Shining Korma. I can't help feeling that Geoff would have been better left as a comedy eejit rather than a prostitute-using, controlling, thieving, lying, bullying, gaslighting, dirty rat who has given the lovely Yasmeen chlamydia. Geoff doesn't even deny it, instead calls her a "clap-ridden old tart" (!) before phoning the escort agency to lambaste them. Yasmeen phones Sonia (Sharif's ex, not the 80s popstar), and finds out that Sharif never had it and it must have been Geoff who gave her the STI.

Dev is in the caff with Cathy, Liz and Eileen, Fortunately, they've got croissants otherwise they'd eat him for breakfast. They think that people will soon forget about Asha's mistake, but Liz still remembers Spammy Pammy off the leggings stall at the market (not the one with the eye) and the massive love-bite she had 45 years ago. (Note: this is a Jonathan Harvey episode). Kelly hasn't forgotten about it and attacks Asha in the kebab shop telling her the police have spoken to her and she has been suspended. Asha in turn shouts at her dad, saying he's made it worse. She smashes her phone as more messages come through.

Talking of Kelly, her mum turns up and talks to Gary, who accuses her of nicking the money Rick has Gary's been providing for Kelly's Oakhill education. He threatens her, telling her that Rick will kill her if he finds out.

Finally, the boiler isn't working at number 1, so instead of checking if the pilot light is working and turning it off and on again, Tracy decides to call in a plumber and then is surprised that it'll cost £2500. She quibbles with Ken about who is responsible for it. Is this storyline going to land the Barlows in hot water?
