Tony Maudesley, who played Kenneth in the sitcom Benidorm, is joining Coronation Street. Tony announced the news on his Twitter feed and says this:
Yes I can indeed confirm this to be true. I'm chuffed to be staying at my @itv home and heading to Weatherfield and I for one, couldn't be happier. As a long time fan of @itvcorrie I'm thrilled to be joining the cast of my favourite show. Here's to the next exciting chapter!😃👍🏼
I like the sound of this a lot.
His character will be the son of undertaker Archie Shuttleworth!

brilliant, very funny guy...
ReplyDeleteI saw the live tour of 'Benidorm' and Tony Maudsley was hilarious. A couple of items on the internet say the actor will 'star as the son of the late undertaker Archie Shuttleworth.'
ReplyDeleteIf Archie had a son, then why would he leave all his money to Audrey[which was stolen by Nick]?
ReplyDeleteThere are too many characters on the Street now who aren't getting storylines due to the 'Gemma Show' and yet more characters are brought on.
That was my thought too. maybe the son will ask Audrey for the money back? It maybe too late to contest the will?
