Shelley King on evil Geoff and 'that' chicken scene

In this week's fab Inside Soap magazine, there's a good preview of the Geoff and Yasmeen story which we cover here.

And there's a snippet of an interview with Shelley King, who plays Yasmeen. She talks about the chicken cull controversy when Geoff killed Charlotte Bronte the chicken and served her up for Yasmeen to eat.

Shelley says: "It was a hugely traumatic experience for her to go through. But the chickens are not dead in real life, and I had to console myself with the knowledge that we're all actors - the chickens as well."

Speaking on the coercive control story on Corrie, Shelley says:

"There are people out there who are suffering and who haven't come through it, and they will hopefully get help because of it.  After every episode there are provisions made, advertising phone numbers and I urge people to see help as support is out there. This is a universal problem."

  1. He pretended he cooked one of the chickens early on. I guess it was a hint of things to come.

  2. Yasmeen is beginning to annoy me now, I want to reach in and shake her. She is being pathetic.
