The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Coronation Street and Daniel kisses Bethany tenderly but their mood is broken by a furious Beth who through tears of grief, accuses Daniel of showing no respect for Sinead.
Beth tears a strip off Daniel and Bethany for jumping into bed when Sinead’s only been dead for less than four months. Daniel’s ashamed and to Bethany’s disappointment suggests they should cool things for a while.
Daniel admits to Adam that he slept with Bethany and he really likes her. Daniel finds Bethany in the Rovers and in front of a packed pub, announces that they’re now an item and everyone better get used to it.

I would hold Beth's purse while she slaps the pair of them. Disgusting! Way too soon even if it is a soap. Considering the upset caused to Sinead with that stupid kiss....I think that Bethany is selfish and strongwilled, and Daniel is cowardly and unwise. Poor Beth.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Daniel is dating his stalker as that what Bethany is.
ReplyDeleteShe never gave Daniel time to grieve for Sinead, she was always following him and Bertie and even wore Sinead's robe and let Daniel believe he was kissing Sinead, probably lied about being Bertie's mother while he was in the hospital. Bethany manipulated Daniel just as Nathan manipulated her when she was vulnerable.
Sickening, the writers have sunk to a new low of disrespect.
That is an interesting comment. Yes she is being manipulative. This is not a young man left on his own. He has support of his family, and even Beth tried to forgive him and make peace...but Bethany makes this impossible.
ReplyDeleteBethany thinks she is so empowered, but really this shows the cracks doesn't it.
Again I think her reaction to not getting the job is an overreaction. Alya has more experience and is better qualified. Speaking of Alya, I wish that she would have some good in her life for a change, I think the possibility of making her a great character is there.
Agree with all of the above. If Bethany continues to be written like this I can't wait for her to leave. Instead of sulking that she didn't get the manager's job that she is woefully underqualifued for, she should look for a way of using her (fluent?) Italian, maybe a business studies course or teaching.
