TONIGHT: Michelle delivers Vicky's baby

This is the dramatic moment when Michelle Connor delivers the baby of her love rival Vicky Jefferies.

In Wednesday night’s episode viewers saw Vicky in the eary stages of labour in the hotel room where she has been hiding as part of the two women’s plan to frame Robert for murder, but she sent Michelle away saying she was fine.
The women had joined forces to make it look as though Robert had killed his pregnant lover Vicky after they discovered he was engaged to them both.

Since Michelle and Robert’s ill fated wedding day Vicky had been locked away in a hotel room and the plan to frame him with planted ‘evidence’ came together as Robert was arrested.

In Friday night’s episode Vicky calls Michelle to say she is in labour and with the baby about to arrive, the women have to make the decision about whether to break their cover and call for help, but as things begin to move quickly Michelle realises she is going to have to deliver the baby.

It’s a bittersweet moment for Michelle as the baby boy is born, her relief at the safe delivery tinged with the sadness of the loss of her own baby Ruari.

Will the birth of the baby force the women to come clean about their plan and let Robert see his child or will Vicky and her son  disappear without a trace?

  1. Or will Michelle now kill Vicky(Since she is already presumed dead) and take her baby. What an exit.

  2. I don't understand this plot to frame Rob. What does Michelle get out of it? She has managed to make him sign over half of the bistro, but she's then giving that away to Vicky. Vicky is planning to escape to London, but id she going to try to get a new identity? Does Tyler have to do the same? Seems a lot of hassle for £35K. Wouldn't Vicky be better to just reappear on the street and pretend to be surprised about the fuss in her absence?

  3. Are they overlooking the "small" issue of registering the baby's birth?!

Gilles27, I think it's just a revenge thing. It seems like no time at all since the Eva/Aiden thing and look how that turned out. I'd like to think that the script writers have come up with a good conclusion to this story but I won't hold my breath!

  4. Jeanie (anon): I LOVE anon's suggestion that Michelle will kill Vicky and leave with the 70K and the child! What a dark ending that would be...Robert banged up for the murder, Vicky bumped off, as she realises too late she never should have trusted Michelle; and Michelle vanishing into the sunset with baby and money! It would be like one of those Agatha Christie's that no one solves because the person murdered had already been faking his own death with the help of the murderer (And then there were none, Murder on the Links, and a couple of others.) BRILLIANT

  7. Robert is probably going to die in the Rovers "shootout" so their plan will amount to nothing anyway, and I think that him being killed will be a big reason why Michelle leaves... both to avoid police scrutiny when Vicky turns up alive and out of guilt over things going way too far.

  8. I have a rather dark sense of humor, but I am glad some of you enjoyed my storyline.
