The previews are in from ITV for Coronation Street beginning week of January 6 2020 and they’ve allowed us to run the spoilers a little earlier than normal as the festive season comes to a close. We’ll be back to normal with the spoilers each Tuesday from now on.
And so, for the week of January 6 2020 we’ll see Geoff have a dig at Yasmeen’s clothes, and insists on taking her to town to buya new wardrobe. Yameen’s delighted, that is, until she suggests meeting Cathy in one of her new outfits. Geoff is furious.
Cathy confides in Brian about her concerns for Yasmeen Cathy. She tells him she’s worried about Yasmeen as she’s always cancelling their dates and seems obsessed with cleaning her house. Will Cathy uncover what’s going on? Let’s hope so, this is horrible to watch.

I despise Geoff and cannot wait for him to get caught and hopefully run out of town on a rail!
ReplyDeleteIs this guy for real? It is so horrible to watch how he sneaks around, intimidates Jasmine. He is despicable and I am so ready for him to be uncovered and made to be shown for the lowdown rotten slimy snake he is. Hope Jasmine does it herself and becomes the smart woman she really is.
ReplyDeletePlease let it be so. I cringe when I see he's in a scene with Yasmeen.
ReplyDeleteThere are guys like this everywhere. They thing they know better than EVERYONE. One tried to date me but when he told me what to wear, I told him to take a hike.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, these are also the guys who try to kills their ladies if they try to leave for good or stand up to him.
Years ago I ended up in such a relationship. You don't notice the control slowly increasing, it's insidious until one day no matter how smart you are you're trapped. You still believe it's love despite the cruelty, sort of Stockholm syndrome. I 'woke up' when it became physical and suffered a concussion. Luckily no children involved.
ReplyDeleteSo yes, the situation that Yasmeen finds herself is completely believable.
Anonymous, I'm sorry you had to experience something similar for real. It is all too common in real life. Let's hope Yasmine finds the strength to get rid of Geoff. It really is excruciating to watch, but the slow insidious undermining of who Yasmine really is, is executed very well.
