Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 20th Nov 8.30 pm
Gemma and Paul swap notes and assume that Bernie is the mastermind behind the church-related robberies and decide to confront their Mother. Bernie's pleas fall on deaf ears as her kids take her through 'kangaroo court' (good scriptwriting that) and she's assumed guilty. Consulting with Kel, Bernie tells her fella she's innocent and Kel takes this as an opportunity to have a swipe at Paul.
At the porn shop (do you remember when Tracy had that one with Rob?), Daniel is arrested by PC Tinker and his female colleague. Leaving baby Bertie with Carla and Beth (Ken's got pneumonia!!) Adam and Peter are soon at the station, pleading with the shop owner to drop the charges. The shop owner admits that the laptop was in his shop weeks ago, so it isn't Daniel's. Pulling at the shopkeepers' heartstrings, Peter pleads for clemency and the charges are swiftly dropped.
Guiltily admitting his one night stand to Agi, James is worried about the repercussions of his phone being found but luckily Micheal soon tracks it down, and the lads head off to Stockport to collect it (that carpark looks a lot like the ITV Corrie studio lot but we will let that lie). Micheal meanwhile, seems to recognise somebody in the car park. It turns out to be Grace, his ex, who is also the mother of his child. These Bailey's are full of secrets, aren't they?
Although she doesn't speak to him, he manages to shout her his address. Will Grace visit Coronation Street?
Having spotted Vicky visiting Robert, he admits the truth for a change and tells Michelle he has big ideas for the Bistro. Unluckily for him, Michelle has been seeking legal advice from Adam and she has ideas for it too - she wants it all to herself. I love how she squirmed when he kissed her!
Back at Number one, Daniel drowns his sorrows and tells Adam that he thinks Bertie would be better off without him. Lamenting the loss of the laptop memories, Daniel succumbs to the guilt of it all and blames himself for the crime. Meanwhile, Gemma worries about motherhood and her relationship with Bernie and confides in Paul. How will Chesney take the news?
Is Bernie guilty of the burglaries, will Michelle rob Robert, and what fruity language will Daniel come out next! Was that the first 'turd' we've ever heard muttered on Coronation Street?

Ryan: it's a pawn shop not porn shop. There is a difference!
ReplyDeleteI remember a pawn shop, but your version would be much more colourful!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a spellcheck 'oops'?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise a great review.
Porn Shop????
ReplyDeletethere is differently a difference to a Pawn Shop
I’m sure the spelling was deliberate!!
ReplyDeleteYou could almost split the difference and call it a "prawn" shop;)
