The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Corrie and an excited Shona tells Gail and Audrey that David will soon be released and the wedding is back. Gail and Audrey exchange doubtful looks.
The wedding guests gather in the Bistro and a flustered Shona arrives but there is no sign of David. Will he make it in time?
David finally arrives having got a lift in the prison van after Nick’s battery died on his car. David reads out his own vows and Shona is touched.
David, Shona, Max and Lily arrive home to find their bags packed. Gail reveals she’s booked them a luxury spa break as a honeymoon treat. Shona hugs her, thrilled.

Actress going on maternity leave...I say wedding is a bust. This will explain her leaving for a while.

ReplyDeleteWhy is Gail suddenly made of money, first Thailand, now paying for a luxurious honeymoon? As far as I know she doesn't even have a job?

ReplyDeleteHumpty Dumpty, I completely agree. Absolutely zero chemistry between David and Shona, couldn't care less if they get married, or if Shona comes back from wherever they send her while the actress is on maternity leave.
I actually like them as a couple.

I am with you C. i like them as a couple and I really like Shona. I think they will argue on honeymoon. She will go to an Ashram for life and spiritual guidance whilst David returns solo gor a year.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing yesterday - how so many on the street can afford to go here and there at the drop of a hat.
And the money the Websters just came into...not sensible. Sophie going to college (finally) then decided to throw that away and the money it cost...to go travelling with Kate! Oh my.
Corrie tries to be realistic with cancer, and sex trafficing, etc....but when it comes to education I guess that is not important. lol
Using a financial windfall to put a downpayment on a house or set aside a nest egg to help with daily living is not essential.
And I don't care how much money Kev's sister has....in real life...she would have been a saint to share it with him, but to give him the full amount...unlikely!! lol

That said I admire you Catsmom for knowing the name of the actress.Apart from those who've been there forever I never register the actors' names. I know I should. I do register those who go on the bigger and better things - Katherine Kelly, Sarah Lancashire,. Suranne Jones immediately come to mind and I hope Kathryn Tyldesley joins the ranks - brilliant in Scarborough
