Stepping in to defend his brother, David takes a punch for Nick and both are bruised before prison guards break up the scuffle.
Sinead and Daniel discover that her tumour has shrunk and not spread. Another scan is booked for a few months time but it's a positive step and news they obviously hoped for.
Over on Coronation Street, Tiny the horse has gone missing, following the rustling and his first Unicorn party.
Billy finds Paul at Roy's Rolls and tries to make amends, only to find Paul out on a date!
Gail texts Sally to tell her she's in Thailand, who relays the news to Audrey and Sarah. It sounds like Gail's long haul flight may be a long haul holiday!
Over at Vicky's, Robert has had a fleeting visit and makes his excuses to leave. Apologising for 'working hard', Robert's tedious attempts at commitment fool Vicky, but for how long?.
Following the fight, tensions appear to have eased between Nick and David. Feeling confessional (of sorts) Nick tells David about what his real motives for the fraud were and promises to confess all in court. Taking full responsibility, Nick tells David that this decision should put his brother in the clear.
David immediately rings Imran to relay the news.
Revealing their good news to friends and family, Sinead and Daniel are in a celebratory mood.
Whilst Kirk offers to take Daniel for a pint, Sinead wants quality time with baby Bertie and confesses to Beth how worried she is about her cancer returning.
Receiving news that Tiny has been stolen from the stable, Tim tells Steve and Michael the news. Admitting that they borrowed him, Tim is fuming but pleased that Sally found him. Struggling to hide their lie, Michael and Steve are faced with the disgruntled party organiser.
At Speed Daal, Ryan is DJing having relinquished his responsibilities at the Bistro. Feeling flirtatious, Ryan steals Alya for a kiss. Michelle finds her son and isn't so pleased about his Bistro abandonment.
As Paul flirts openly over a pint with his date, Billy is disheartened and heads home. Counting out their cash, Steve and Michael admit to Tim that Tiny made them a small fortune at the party. Suddenly, his mind is changed and he wants in on their new business venture.
Later on, and returning to The Bistro, Robert is full of flaky excuses to Michelle, and again uses his social work as an excuse. Although disgruntled, Michelle seems to have forgiven him.
Sinead tells Daniel how scared and worried she still is, he gallantly tells her how much he loves her and that he will always stick by her.
Nick has a visit from Leanne and he tells her that he will confess all in court. Leanne does her best to dispel his admittance and tells him he must change his mind and stick to the original plan.
Will he stand by his brother, or his childhood sweetheart?.

I am a Canadian viewer and I thought that Ryan and Bethany were together. Now he is interested in Alya? Did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteI could be wrong here but I think this is what happened:
ReplyDeleteThings kind of slowed down between Ryan and Bethany. Then Ryan started DJing at Speed Daal and made a date with Alya, thinking things were over with Bethany. But then he realised Bethany was still interested and they slept together. Ali accidentally revealed to Bethany about Ryan and Alya's date and Bethany ended things with Ryan for good. Since then Ryan's got closer to Alya.
Are Ryan and Michelle aware that Alya caused Carla to have a breakdown due to her phone calls from'Rana?
ReplyDeleteIf not, I hope it comes out soon as it's sickening seeing Alya[who seems to have forgotten all about Rana]go on with her life with the nephew of the woman she drove over the edge while Carla is recovering and trying to put her life back together.
Alya and Michelle spoke about the phone calls last week. Alya said it was due to her not thinking properly due to the grief over losing her best friend and Ryan reminded Michelle how Johnny had acted out of character after Aiden had died. The agreed to put it behind them and work together on the catering job.
ReplyDeleteI am going right off Leanne. Fine, she doesn't want Nick to be banged up, but he does deserve it, David not so much.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who thought Paul had more chemistry with the guy he's known five minutes than he's ever had with Billy.
ReplyDeleteJeanie (anon): Paul and Billy seem like strangers together, very distant. Billy had so much more chemistry with both Todd and Sean, particularly Todd. He was a good character and quality actor-wish they would bring him back! Paul has never gelled for me; he does not seem real or bring his character to life and always acts so sulking and furtive, likes he's just been caught shoplifting.
