This was the week when the Bailey family moved into Number Three. It’s Emily’s old house that Norris bought. The house that was home to Mary’s son Jude and his wife Angie and now… the Bailey bunch. Mum Aggie, dad Ed and sons Michael and James move in. Michael’s a bit of a wide boy, always on the lookout for the next moneymaking opportunity and also, a bit of a twit. But in a good way. James is a footballer for Weatherfield County youth team and he’s gay, but hasn’t yet come out. Ed winds up Ken, calling him Kenny when Ken calls to complain about the building work noise. And it’s mum Aggie, of course, who holds the family together. They bring with them noise and energy and it’ll be interesting to see how they fit in. So far, so good.

Naughty Natalie from Nottingham goes missing. It doesn’t take long for Leanne to find her by nicking David’s phone and messaging her. Leanne threatens Natalie that if she goes to the police to tell them the truth about Nick nicking Audrey’s money, she’ll have her. Natalie hotfoots it to the airport, with Leanne in the driving seat. Meanwhile, David sees CCTV footage in Trim up North that proves Leanne stole his phone. What else has happened in this storyline, I’ll leave up to you to decide. I’m finding it a little confusing.

Another storyline where I’m not entirely sure what’s going on is the one about Underworld. I get that they’re all working in Jamila House as the factory roof collapsed. Is it being repaired? Will Underworld rise again? But why is Sarah being put in charge, at Carla’s behest from Carlisle? Anyway, there was lots of Sarah snogging Adam this week while Gary loitered menacingly in the background.

Best line of the week went to Evelyn in the Rovers talking about Tracy: “She’s got all the appeal of a tramp’s handshake.” Wonderful stuff from Damon Alexis-Rochefort.

Sally sets Tiny the horse and Tim’s bereft. “He’s a vulnerable horse and he needs me,” Tim moans.  To cheer Tim up, Sally buys the horse back and dresses up in riding gear tempting Tim upstairs. Woah there, horsey.

In the Bistro, Michelle overhears Robert telling Daniel about his regrets at losing Michelle. She seizes the moment, books the Bistro for a dinner a deux and puts on her warpaint and best bra. Long story short, they’re back together. But Robert has a secret. Remember Vicky, the Irish woman who is Tyler’s mum? Well, it turns out that Robert and Vicky have been at it behind Michelle’s back and under her nose. He goes to Vicky’s house to break off their affair and Vicky’s distraught but lets Robert go. However, there’s something Robert doesn’t know – Vicky’s pregnant with his child.

And that’s just about that for this week.

  1. I really don't want to know any more about Sally and Tim's sex life. Stop it!

  2. I also want to see an end to story lines around Sarah's sex life!
There are so many more interesting characters who are unfairly underused in favor of more boring story lines of Sarah's[who should be focused on the factory] love life.
I don't think it's fair to say that Robert saw Vicky behind Michelle's back.
Michelle ended their relationship so Robert had every right to move on to someone else and not wait around in case Michelle changed her mind.
Michelle needs to learn the world doesn't revolve around her.

Good one, Glenda! I'd missed the "tramp's handshake" from Evelyn!

  4. ooh, I like all this sexy stuff...better than the "Passion of the Gary' getting beat up which we have had to endure too much of!!!. The Metcalfs need some spicy, they have been given such depressing stories the last year.tgey are our Everlasting Couple!!! Gary vs Adam ...uhmmm no brainer. Love the power of Sarah Platt! Vicky, Vicky, Vicky! and Michelle and the sudden flourishment of fertile Robert's swimmers ... better than the Zigfield follies in kalaidescope! fan flipping tastic. we have new neighbours, a new horse, the end of the Nick stealing grans money storyline. Awesome!
