New Pic: Is Norris returning - only to leave again?

The weekly sneak preview pictures from the official ITV Coronation Street Twitter feed really prove interesting. Especially for those of us, who er, like to zoom in on the images to see what's really going on.

This week, ITV Corrie tweeted a picture from the current filming where Norris, dressed up to the nines and with Freda behind him, is making his way to the Rovers where Brian is sweeping the pavement.

But on the door of the Rovers is a notice that reads NORRIS' LEAVING PARTY.

And as we know that the new Bailey family are moving into No. 3 where Norris (and don't forget Emily) still live.

So does this leaving party mean that Norris will be returning to the show after Malcolm Hebden's recent health problems, only to leave again?

  1. I don't blame him if he is leaving permanently. It sounded like a really nasty heart attack. And at least he is returning to give the character a proper send off.

  2. I hope he is leaving, the character I mean...never did like Norris. After surviving such a bad heart attack Malcolm deserves and needs to take care of himself. I hope all the best for the actor and am glad for once that some one gets a proper good bye and all his story lines tied up..selling the business and the house..no loose ends and outstanding questions. this will probably tie up Emily's stories too..with Norris going to join her and Freida.

  3. It was always only a temporary return for Norris - Iain Macleod confirmed this when news of Norris's return was first announced.

  4. He looks very frail...

    Can't say I've missed Norris.

  5. I hope the loose ends get tied up and Malcolm is able to take care of himself. It sounds like he's lucky to be able to come back at all!
