The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Coronation Street and Norris has a lot of explaining to do to Mary after Freda shows Rita a pile of letters addressed to Mary that Norris had hidden at number 3.
Rita reads the letters and realises they are from Brendan, Mary’s ex-fella who was editor of the supernatural themed magazine, The Inexplicable. The letters show that he is clearly still in love with Mary and the last letter even contains an engagement ring. How will Mary react to the news?
Mary confides in Rita that she’s left a message on Brendan’s phone explaining that she’s only just read his letters and she accepts his proposal of marriage. Mary’s heart leaps when she receives a text from Brendan suggesting they meet up. But Freda’s furious with Norris as she realises Mary means more to him than she does.
