This week on Coronation Street, David said that he's thinking of proposing to Shona. But should these two get wed?
I say Yay because a) it's a soap wedding and who doesn't like those? and b) because I'd actually like to see David happy.
What do you say? Yay or Nay?

That is a big fat YAY from me!
ReplyDeleteI say YAY and PLEASE let it be a wedding without any complications!
ReplyDeleteSorry, nay. I like Shona, just not with David. They don't look right. He looks like he could almost be her son.
ReplyDeleteSorry but how can you judge age difference for god sake I am sick of people being so judge mental towards age I am 19 and my partner Is 50 he’s raised my son who my ex walked out on and we are about to have a baby of our own yes it’s a big age gap but if people are happy why not let them be happy rather then be so mean.
ReplyDeleteThe Shona actress is only 3 years older but Jack P Shepherd has such a baby face that he will always look younger than his partners. I like Shona and would like to see David settled, but no wedding catastrophes please.
ReplyDeleteEven if that son of hers was dead and buried I'd say Nay to this marriage.I don't know what possessed the writers to make Shona the mother of Kylie's murderer but she is. It's already going completely against character that David ever gave her the time of day.
ReplyDeleteNow that we know her monster of a son- whom she stupidly kept in contact with- was still an active gang member while in jail keeping Shona around will guarantee that Max, Lily and David will be targets for retribution alongside her for years and years to come. She brings nothing to the table that makes that worth putting the characters or viewers through.
I posted this once already, never showed up, after being asked over & over to pick squares that had buses, cars, crosswalks, etc. I vote Yay but agree with the poster who say no dramatics at the wedding; please let it be normal for a change of pace.
ReplyDeleteNay. I like Shona and I love David but I find them dull as a couple. No spark, no common interests or friends, all they do is pack lunches for Max and Lilly. They each seem to have more emotional connection with Gail than with each other. It’s like they are two people going through the motions of adulthood. And then there is Clayton. Nope.
ReplyDeleteTotal YAY from me. As for common interests - - - almost nobody on Corrie has outside interests, apart from Ken with his books, Kirk with football and Sinead with crafts.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely a big yay from me! I love these two characters together! I love how ordinary they are together. Just two regular, no drama, no cheating, fixing lunch for their kids couple. Love it!
