In Coronation Street last week we saw Roy struggling to deal with his grief over his mum, Sylvia's death. And then there's the mystery of the ring that she's left him.
The inscription reads: R.P. Rhea 01.03.59
What do you think it could mean?
I wonder if the R.P. actually is RIP and whether Rhea is Roy's sister, a baby perhaps that Sylvia lost on 1st March 1959, almost 60 years ago?

This is Soapland which means Rhea is approaching 60 and will turn up on the Street. The inscription RP stands for Rhea Prendergast/any surname beginning with 'P' which would remind Sylvia of a lost love. The baby was adopted and Rhea is now investigating her birth father. She hopes Roy can remember a friend of the family when he was about six years old eg: a gentleman whose surname began with 'P'. She might have contacted Sylvia who refused to give her any information so she waited until she died before seeking out Roy. If she was adopted, it's quite likely she won't be called Rhea now.
ReplyDeleteYes Humpty, I thought the same. I just hope that Roy's sister is nice. But I've a nasty feeling she won't be.
ReplyDeleteI think it’s Roy’s mothers former lover
