The previews are in for New Year’s week on Coronation Street and Audrey confides in Maria that she really loves Lewis and heads into town to buy a new dress for her dinner date with Lewis. Later, Gail finds Audrey in the bistro, anxiously waiting for Lewis. Admitting defeat, Audrey heads home with Gail fearing she was right about him all along.
Nick takes a call from his financial advisor who explains he has some urgent news for Audrey - all the money from Archie has been stolen from her account. Later, Audrey sits alone on Maxine’s bench and breaks down in tears.
