The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Peter’s got a proposal for Carla. But it’s not a proposal of the romantic kind, it’s a business offer he puts her way after Alya gives up her share of the factory to the Connors.
When Peter overhears Carla talking about buying the factory he offers to invest and Carla decides to accept Peter’s offer but she tells Michelle she will keep him at arm’s length.
Carla and Peter let themselves into the factory and survey their empire where Carla becomes emotional over Aidan. Peter breaks the news to Carla that he plans to work at the factory full time. Carla has little choice but to accept his decision. However, Leanne is unimpressed that Peter is back in business with Carla.

Ya Boo! Fed up with Peter sniffing round Carla!
ReplyDeleteBoo indeed! Peter and Leanne belong together. Don't get me wrong there's chemistry between Peter and Carla but waaay more with Peter and Leanne.
ReplyDeleteIf the writers didn't intend for Peter and Leanne to get back together then they shouldn't have teased us Peter and Leanne fans for the past two years. Christmas 2016, Leanne going ballistic over Peter and Toyah, the false alibi, the surrogacy money, the moment they had at Christmas 2017, the scene in January where they go to Simon's dinner together. The countless cosy scenes in the pub.
Not to mention that little moment they had where Peter says Leanne just wants to spend time with him. The obvious sadness that overcame Leanne at the thought of his sister marrying Peter and having his baby. Those scenes can't have been done for nothing!
Why do it Corrie Writers? Why? I for one don't wish to watch round two of Peter being miserable at Underworld with Carla (compare it to when he was running the Bookies/Rovers with Leanne). Nor do I wish to see Round 5 of Nick and Leanne. No thank you! Well done writers/producers, this Corrie fan has officially become disenfranchised with the show once again!
Smells like a rerun.
ReplyDeleteI was enjoying Peter and Leanne at the pub, wish Leanne had been given a chance at being Landlady for real.
