Coronation Street episode review, Weds 13 June, 8.30pm

Hi, it's me, Glenn Meads, again back in my usual time slot for more Corrie, following the funeral.

Johnny is struggling and wants to stay at the graveside by himself. Jenny tries to help but he ignores her. Kate take her arm and Johnny remains.

Eileen's send off is in full swing, and it turns out to be a sombre affair because she gives the reasons for her departure and it all revolves around Pat.

Peter confronts Eva about the photograph. More drama is about to happen as the Connor females arrive back in Weatherfield. Carla cannot get into the factory. Alya has changed the locks, clearly.

Toyah lies about the photograph and Peter apologises. Then he says that he thinks he thought Eva must have got to the birth and feels stupid. Not as stupid as he'll feel when he hears the truth. Kate tells Jenny that Johnny needs time. But how much pushing can she take? Carla bursts in with news of the new locks and is angry.

Peter confides in Leanne thst he is worried about Suzy, as he feels that Eva is not good around her because she is grieving. Leanne smooth over the waters and says she loves the baby and Peter talents.

Alya is gunning for Carla and stands firm with her decision. She tells the family that she was the only one who stood by him. She is rude to all of them and Imran tells them she is within her rights. I'm in team Carla. You? I find Alya grieves people's.deaths she barely knew and has friendships and great loves with people she has spent five minutes with.

Michelle gets back and asks Ali why he never attended. She is confused, as she says she needed him. She has a spare and Ali makes a point, that he never knew him. He says he feels like an interloper, and he knows there is another one who can fill his shoes ad the family guy.

Eileen asks Seb if he wants to house sit whilst she is in Bristol. He agrees and tells her that he will not let her down. Not sure what role he will here with Faye gone.

Johnny bumps into Liz and he says he wishes that she went to the funeral. Liz mentions the kiss and Johnny brings up the fact that Jenny never liked Aidan. Liz is in deep here and this one will.end badly.

Toyah mentions to Eva the smell of Suzy does it for her. I know she has lied but so do feel for her. She has no control so clings to the slightest bit. Eva hands the baby back to her and leaves, annoyed.

Nicola gets ready to depart. She has been a great character and I hope she returns. Gary is upset and kisses his baby. Summer gets upset, another one leaving her, as Eileen departs with Nicola. Steve is clearly gutted. A good break for the character and the actress who plays her.

Seb and his mum are together at Eileen's and she asks if she needs company. The reality is, she needs a good over her head. Meanwhile, Carla says her piece to Alya and says she can keep the 18% share of the business. Alya says no to this deal. This means war. And it reminds me of the super soaps, Dallas and Dynasty.

Liz and Johnny have a drink and talk about Eileen's departure. Then he lets slip that he has missed her all day long. Liz holds back to save the marriage. She tells him.to go home. Johnny leans in and kisses her and we are back to square one. Liz, nooooooo!

Poor Jenny!

Right. That's me done, see ya next week and our blogger Ryan will be back.
