Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 7 Feb, 7.30pm
Welcome to the Wednesday's blog double and tonight's first visit down Coronation Street.
Tonight begins round at the corner shop flat. On an early morning visit to give Daniel a book, Ken quickly eyes Carla hastily leaving the bathroom and another night of passion (slurp!) is suddenly over.
No such luck for Gemma though. After Horrid Henry's dirty trick, she's spent the night out and does the walk of shame straight into work. Looking worse for wear, Chez gives her the morning off. In search of Gemma, Horrid Henry (that's his new name by the way) turns up looking for Gemma. Irritated by Henry's recent behaviour, Chez punches the posho right out of the takeaway. Take that Henry!.With Valentines vastly approaching, is this Chesney's recent aggression resurfacing, or does he have feelings for Gemma?.
Love is also in the air at the Bistro, but its the love of money (or lack of it) that's causing Zeedan to act out of character.
On the anniversary of his father's death, cancer surviving Robert host a romantic meal for Michelle at the Bistro.Looking forward to the future (and finally renaming the restaurant), is Zeedan about to rock his renewed optimism?. Recovering from his whisky binge, Zee readily accepts his in-laws offer of shop premises and rejects Roberts job offer in the process. He won't work with Kate again, that's obvious. It could get complicated though as his sister Alya and Kate's brother Aidan, look close to resurrecting Underworld. As Alya slowly recovers from grief, I'm sure she sensed an upset in Rana tonight too. How long before Alyla finds out about her sister-in-law's affair?. It may not be that long as Leanne breaks the news to Yasmeen.
With Robert a staff member short, will a soon-departing Steph be persuaded to stay on the street?. Weatherfield police are no closer to Luke's killer and Phelan is looking edgy. Offended by Stephs perceived rudeness, Phelan threatens his murder victims sister. Will Steph even survive THAT long?.
Interestingly enough, I'm thinking the same about Carla. After trying and failing to sneak back into the Roys flat after her night of passion (slurp!), she soon heads back out to The Rovers to meet Daniel. With Carla's hectic schedule showing no signs of slowing down, and her illness increasing, will kidney doner matches Aidan and Kate be able to save their half-sister?. Peter fails to hide his disgust at Carla dating Daniel and plays the defensive when Carla appears to stumble.
To paraphrase Shakespeare 'the landlord doth protest too much me thinks'
Assuming an unsteady Carla is drunk, Peter tries to throw her out of the pub, only for Carla to collapse!!.
Follow my pal @Glenn_Writes as he reviews tonight's 8.30pm episode and finds out what happens next!
That's me done for another week. I'm off to Skegness with Peter Barlow.
Bucket and spade at the ready!
TARA!!

Horrid Henry, I like that. After what he's done, it fits.
ReplyDeleteNow, let's see if he can redeem himself.
