Well, would you just look at that. They've given us a badge and everything today! Yes, we're very proud to announce (again!) that we're a finalist in the UK Blog Awards 2018.
As I mentioned in my blog post earlier this week, we're up against stiff competition in the Arts and Culture category of the Blog Awards. This is because we had to enter as a business, even though we're anything but. As there are more than six members on our team, they classify us as a business, although our blog is a labour of love.
Anyway, what this means, I've found out today, is that our blog will be competing against the following proper business blogs in our category.
- Heritage Daily
- Ticketmaster
- The Red Dog Blog
- Truss
- The Museum of Science and Industry
- Eight Ray Music
- Rewrite This Story
So you can see why it's not false modesty when I saw I don't expect us to win. To have been shortlisted and then through to the finals is winning itself because we wouldn't have got this far had it not been for YOUR votes. I can't thank you enough.
The awards ceremony takes place on April 20th and we'll be sure to attend and bring you a full report too.
