If, like me, you've been wondering about Phelan's dead bodies (yes, I know I need to get out more) then wonder no more.
It's been a little confusing because I thought, and remembered, that Phelan had thrown the bodies of Andy and Vinny into a river.
But the ITV previews for last night's Corrie said this:
Phelan is furious Seb has accepted a job working with Gary. But his fury turns to horror when he realises the mill conversion Gary’s working on is where he buried Andy’s and Vinny’s bodies
Corrie fans have been as confused as me. Are the bodies floating in the lake or buried underground?
Well, ITV have, er, clarified (or should that be further muddied the waters?) this with a tweet today. Does this mean the bodies are buried in a lake and can be brought up to the surface again?
They are in the small lake to the side of the mill!— Coronation Street (@itvcorrie) January 4, 2018

I'm guessing Phelan dropped the bodies near the Mill's wheel knowing they'd sink in the mud there instead of floating down the river and bobbing up, but that he could retrieve them if he needed to take them to a better location.
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is where Vinny's mother is.
I got very confused, thinking the house with the cellar was the same place as the burial site. What strikes me as odd is that Phelan buried both bodies, killed with the same weapon within a few minutes of each other, in the same spot. Yes, Seb now has his fingerprints on the gun - and maybe Eileen will, too, after examining it - but he has no motive for killing either Vinny or Andy. I wonder that Vinny hasn't been reported missing. Wouldn't his mother's care home or the bank need authority from Vinny about something during the last few weeks?
ReplyDeleteOh the writers/producers are so lackadaisical nowadays when it comes to checking things out. Soooo many loose ends that will never get tied up!
ReplyDeleteYes I thought it was in a shallow pond or something similar rather than a river or canal.
ReplyDeleteVinny/Harvey's mother .... I got the impression she only hears from him on her birthday or was it his birthday? So if she's heard from him this year, which she did, she won't be looking for him until next year and the body will have surfaced by then.
It's not ideal that they are having to clarify these things over Twitter!
ReplyDeleteI want to know how Michelle was able to see those two girls when she was hit from BEHIND??? No way she could have seen them.
ReplyDeletePhelan dumped the bodies in the water...unless he went back, retrieved them and then buried them...
ReplyDeleteA few weeks back when he was at the mill, I thought I saw a sign that said J Phelan and son...and I see there is the sign, but with a different name/ what gives/
What I would like to know is when is this story with Phelan is going to come to an end. It seems to have gone on for ever and it is time it ended
ReplyDeleteI agree with Peter.....it's gone on so long I can't remember why he arrived in the first place! I can't remember why Billy is in hospital either.......come on Corrie scriptwriters there isn't an NTA Award for "The Longest Storyline in Soap". Brookside would win that one every year zzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteThe storyline re Phelan is making a mockery of the seriousness of murder and how investigations are carried out. Very few murders are not solved and the murderer is usually known very quickly. The storyline with Anna and Seb was a joke- who asked Adam or Rosie who was in the office? Was Anna ever in there and Rosie would have replied-"Pat Phelan was in but Anna wasn't". Get Phelan sorted out asap
