Video interview: Jennie McAlpine on soap life and jungle

Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz in Coronation Street, was interviewed on ITV's Lorraine today. She spoke about being free from the jungle where she came fourth in "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here".

Jennie told Lorraine that the first soap she appeared in was Emmerdale, and she was in it with her ex-Corrie co-star Vicky Binns, who played Molly Dobbs.

She also said that she was only supposed to be in Coronation Street for five episodes, when Fiz was brought in as Roy and Hayley's foster child. And then she was called back, 17 years ago, to play one of Mike Baldwin's knicker stitches.

In Corrie right now, Jennie's disappearance from the show (while she was in the jungle) will be explained by Fiz having to go away to look after her mum Cilla.

At the end of the interview, Lorraine tells Jennie that "I'm really looking forward to your cooking series, that'll be great..."  - does anyone know what cooking series this is?
