Now we know that Pat Phelan's a proper Corrie killer (not just scaring Michael Rodwell to death), his soap shelf life is limited. Actor Connor McIntyre has said so in the many interviews he's done about Phelan recently.
And so, if Phelan is going to have to either be locked up or killed off in Coronation Street, he might as well go out with a bang and kill off a few more folk before he leaves.
Who would you like to see on Phelan's list of those to be bumped off?
I'm thinking it'll be Anna, but not because I want her dead, just because she seems the most obvious as we know actor Debbie Rush is leaving the show. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out, how long Phelan is kept in for and how bad he gets before he goes.

It's likely to be Anna since the actress is going but, really, I'd prefer to see him slowly go mad and kill himself by New Year's day. That would certainly be a great storyline for the actor (a Lady MacBeth-inspired turn) and entertaining for viewers. Certainly more entertaining than seeing him kill another person he's psychologically tortured for ages.

ReplyDeleteThere's a whole list but most of them are nothing to do with Phelan's storyline! Anna's too obvious. I think he'll try to kill her and maybe Eileen gets in the way. Both women survive. Phelan realises the gig's up and crashes in his get away car. Debbie Rush will have another exit story.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like Anna, but I don't wish her dead. Besides, if Phelan kills Anna, what kind of justice is that? That would make any comeuppance he gets very hollow indeed.

ReplyDeleteI like Eileen but with Jason and Todd gone and Sean happily installed chez Norris, she doesn’t have much going on. Maybe a good scare.
ReplyDeleteKilling off Anna would make more sense, except for Faye. That kiddo’s been thru more than most already. This would be too much. (OTOH, if Phelan killed Faye, by accident or intent, Anna wouldn’t stay; everything would haunt her. And if Seb is HIV+ and feels he has nothing left to live for, he’s the right age for doing something really stupid. Just sayin’)
Perhaps the most pointless characters right now are Brian and Cathy. I wouldn’t miss them.
Oh yeah, and Colin. Get that slimy man out of the news agents and Rita’s flat. Ick.

Reconciling with Owen and going to live with him. Faye is frankly, either too stupid or too stubborn to be helped and she has Tim and Sally now. Gary has also messed up his life needlessly. I really don't think they're worth staying for. It's time they made an effort to sort themselves out instead of her screaming herself hoarse trying to manage them.

ReplyDeleteFaye please, then Anna can go nuts and he can kill her too. I see a large knife in her mouth the next time she starts screaming and shouting, just something I saw in a movie once, it shut the harpy up for keeps.
