It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Well, OK, it's not. It's a bit frosty out first thing of a morning and then the sun comes out. And I'm not ready for the adverts on the telly or the tinsel in the shops or any of it, not yet.
But in the world of soap... things are starting to get festive.
Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt in Coronation Street, has given a tiny teaser away about what might lie in store for the Platts this Christmas.
At the opening of a new butcher stall at a Gloucester market last week - you can read more on that here - Jack said this about Christmas on Corrie:
"We're just about finished filming Christmas. It's always weird because we start filming Christmas in end of August, September, October... we film Christmas stuff and once we finish, Christmas starts! So for five months of the year I have Christmas in my life."
Asked what we can look forward to at Christmas, Jack said: "I think it's a happy Christmas for the Platts, yeah. Well, it's an all right one, as far as Christmasses go in the Platts because David Platt's birthday is obviously Christmas Day."

Thank God....those poor kiddies! I miss the Christmas' where everyone got a "glow on" at the Rovers and then went home and whooped it up with the fam/jam!
ReplyDeleteI'll be amazed if the little Platt's don't turn out to be scarred for life, considering all of the stuff that's happened in their short lives....little Max's Adhd for example, seems to be under control...David's epilepsy..on so on
What kind of a teaser is that?
ReplyDeleteWe know David's bd is Christmas, but that doesn't tell us anything about what their storyline will be.
