Debbie Rush teases Anna's exit story
Debbie Rush, who plays Anna Windass in Coronation Street was interviewed on ITV's This Morning this week. She talks about leaving Coronation Street and about Pat Phelan too, of course.
Debbie says that Pat Phelan is "one of the most evil baddies that we've ever had!"
Talking about working with actor Connor McIntyre, who plays Phelan, she says: "Every time we're put together for a scene we know it's not going to be nice. It's never nice. So every time we have a scene we have a little cuddle beforehand and we'll have a little cuddle afterwards, but just as we start to roll, we'll just give each other "the look", we'll move our heads away and then we're in with hatred!"
Talking about her exit storyline, she says: "Some people think I'm being killed off by Phelan and some people think I'm going to be sent down, so I'll leave that there for now..." Debbie also stays that Anna "has still got a little bit of power left over Phelan" with regards to getting Nicola back into Phelan's life, which he wants more than anything.
