Many of the Coronation Street current cast and those from the past turned out for Liz Dawn's funeral which included "tears and laughter".

Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) spoke at the funeral to say that Liz was an incredibly special lady and her legacy will go on; she touched lives.
Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) also gave tribute in the cathedral. He said that Liz could talk to anyone and always treated everyone the same, which was part of her charm.
