Bradley Walsh revealed as new Doctor Who sidekick
If this is true, it's wonderful. Well, it's just made me laugh out loud this morning, and I've not even had my coffee yet.
The first female Doctor Who will have a male, it has been revealed by the Mirror today. And he's going to be ex-Coronation Street Underworld boss Danny Baldwin - actor and comedian Bradley Walsh.
New Doctor Who boss Chris Chibnall and Bradley Walsh go back a long way, says the Mirror. In 2008, Chibnall was the lead writer on ITV’s Law & Order UK, which starred Walsh as DS Ronnie Brooks and ran for eight successful series.
A source said: “Bradley is super excited to be joining the cast of Doctor Who in such a key role. It means that his schedule over the coming months will be jam-packed – so he won’t be able to continue with the full range of programmes he currently makes for ITV.
“But, crucially, it won’t affect his role as presenter of The Chase. He loves that show with a passion and so does the audience, so he’s delighted to have found a way to make it all work”

If this is true, I might have to start watching Dr. Who again. Glad he is staying with The Chase though, love that show, and it wouldn't be the same without him.
ReplyDeleteGreat news, and hope it's true. Bradley Walsh is exceptionally talented. I can see him as a Victorian music hall entertainer, falling out of a boozer and stumbling into the Tardis for a kip.
