Coronation Street Spoiler: Todd and Billy learn to be parents
Billy and Todd learn about how to become parents – the hard way – in next week’s Coronation Street. Now that they’ve got Summer to care for and look after, they have to deal with Summer’s grief over the loss of her dad.
As Summer cries for her dad, Todd and Billy wish they could fix things for her and in an attempt to bond with Summer, Billy and Todd obtain some scrap metal from Tyrone, and try to build a robot (something she used to do with her dad).
Will Summer be impressed at their efforts?
Having built the robot, Billy and Summer admire their handywork. Billy assures Summers he’s not looking to replace Drew but hopes they can be friends

Wouldn't it be nice, if somehow, this relationship could be something positive and unspoiled. I know it doesn't make for good drama, but could we please find a story worth watching for Todd, Billy and Summer that doesn't involve angst?
ReplyDeleteTodd and Billy are so boring, but Summer is a charming addition.
ReplyDeleteWhat? Are you for real? They're lovely, normal and happy together, and don't do the Canal Street scene, so how does that make them boring? Please Corrie bosses. Don't change them
DeleteTodd and Billy definitely aren't boring. Just because they're happy and aren't cheating on each other doesn't make them any less interesting as individual characters or as a couple. and I'm loving this storyline as it's a refreshing break from the usual angst. I also think Todd and Billy are one of the more authentic couples in Corrie and Dan and Bruno two of the best actors on the show. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they adapt to raising Summer and from the scenes I've seen so far they come across as a really lovely family unit.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Summer will face bullying at school when the other children find out about her home life. Two dads at parents' evening. Must happen in real life and it would be interesting to see it played out on tv. Are Summer and Amy in the same year at school? If so, Amy will get caught up in the bullying, on one side or the other.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't understand how anyone can say Todd & Billy (Tilly) are boring. They are absolutely perfect just the way they are. Their opposite personalities work brilliantly together and their chemistry is positively electrifying. You feel everything with these two and you live through every moment with them. Some of the looks they throw each others way actually send shivers down my spine and of course, they are both incredibly easy on the eye too ;-)
ReplyDeleteCan't stand Todd with Billy, but I like the Todd/Summer dynamics.
ReplyDeleteWill she be bullied? Let's see.....Amy's mother's a murder, her grandfather is a bank robber, her father pushed her grandfather off of scaffolding and put him in a wheelchair. David's kids had a former drugdealer, cage dancer and psycho for parents, Simon's father's a drunk, his adopted mother is a former prostitute, Faye had a child at thirteen,.......Nah, pretty sure she won't be teased for having two dads.
